PPL(H) course progress:
In order to get acquainted with the basic knowledge in the field of helicopter flying, which is necessary for the successful start of practical flight training, the training begins with a 10-hour initial theoretical block focused on the technical part of the helicopter. Part of it is also the handover of study materials and equipment – the so-called HELITOM Study box.
Practical flight instruction takes place according to the applicable legislation for PPL(H) qualification in the range of at least 45 flight hours.
The theory is provided to students during the initial theoretical block, pre-flight and flight briefings and in the form of individual consultations. This theoretical training is related to individual tasks of practical flight instruction. For successful passing the exams self-study is expected.
The course ends with an examination of theoretical knowledge at the Civil Aviation Authority in Prague and a flight skills test with an authorized examiner.
