The HELITOM helicopter school offers complete pilot training for a wide range of applicants, from pilot courses using a helicopter for private purposes to airline transport pilots of multi-engine turboshaft helicopters. At HELITOM flight school (Approved Training Organization – ATO), we emphasize the quality and complexity of all services we offer.
Teaching takes place standardly at the company's base, Helicentrum Chotouň (LKCO), in modern facilities. Practical teaching is supported by a system of theoretical teaching, which consists of lecture blocks accompanied by visual presentations of individual topics, pre-flight and flight briefings and individual consultations.
As part of the theoretical teaching, the student is provided with all the necessary study materials and aids necessary for flight planning.
In case of interest, the HELITOM helicopter school also provides extended theory teaching for the final exam of theoretical knowledge. The student can choose individual topics to be covered by the lecturer. This offer significantly reduces the need for the student to self-study.
The HELITOM helicopter school also offers the possibility of individual instruction in other localities according to the agreement with the student and the possibilities given by the valid legislation.
A key part of pilot training is practical flight instruction, in which accident-insured piston helicopter Robinson R22, R44 Eurocopter EC 120 and Robinson R66 single-engine turboshaft helicopter or Bell 427 twin-engine turboshaft helicopter are used.
In addition to the student´s personal preconditions, the teaching skills, expertise, experience and communicativeness of the instructors are the most important for the success of the helicopter pilot's training. The company HELITOM s.r.o. employs highly competent helicopter instructors with many years of experience in professional air traffic and high flight time. HELITOM instructors are ready to pass on to students the maximum of their practical experience and theoretical knowledge in Czech, English and Russian.
