QUALIFICATION FOR VFR NIGHT FLIGHTS

VFR - Visual Flight Rules


The VFR night training course is intended for all those interested in extending their skills and pilot qualifications to the possibility of helicopter flights at night .

Requirements:

  • PPL(H) qualification
  • at least 100 flight hours as a helicopter pilot since completing the PPL(H) course, including 60 hours as helicopter commander and 20 hours of navigation flights
  • Practical part: 15 flight hours
  • Theoretical part: 5 hours

The course for VFR night flights consists of theoretical and practical training. Within the theoretical part, applicants are introduced to the principles of night flying through lectures and presentations. Theory training contains at least 5 teaching hours.

Practical flight instruction follows theoretical training according to applicable legislation, in the range of at least 15 flight hours, including solo flight of at least 30 minutes.

After successful completion of the course, a certificate of successful completion of the training for the VFR night flight is issued, based on which the Civil Aviation Authority will enter this qualification into the applicant's pilot license.
