HELITOM s.r.o. provides theoretical and practical training for obtaining type qualifications of a wide range of helicopters. With our helicopter school, you can get type qualifications of both single-engine piston helicopters as well as one and twin-engine turboshaft helicopters.

HELITOM s.r.o. provides theoretical and practical type training of Robinson R22 single-engine piston helicopters. The type training takes place on helicopters with full comprehensive insurance.

The course for obtaining the type rating for Robinson R22 helicopters consists of theoretical and practical flight training. The theoretical course is provided in the form of technical lectures at Helitom s.r.o. and within the pre-flight and post-flight briefings. The range of the theoretical training is based on the applicant’s experience. In the case of an applicant who has no experience with piston helicopters, the theoretical part is set at 8 hours (ITR – Initial Type Rating). In the case that the applicant has completed training on a different piston type helicopter, the theoretical course is only 6.5 hours (ATR – Additional Type Rating).
The duration of flight instruction depends on the experience of the applicant but with a minimum of 5 flight hours in dual control and is based on the standards and emergency procedures for this type of helicopter.
After completion of the training, the applicant has to pass an expertise examination led by the authorized examiner and on that basis, the Robinson R22 type rating is entered in the applicant’s license.
HELITOM s.r.o. provides theoretical and practical type training of Robinson R44 single-engine piston helicopters. The type training takes place on helicopters with full comprehensive insurance.

The type rating course consists of theoretical and practical training. The minimum duration of theoretical training for applicants without prior experience with turboshaft helicopters (ITR) is 15.5 hours of theoretical training. For applicants with experience in turboshaft helicopters, the minimum duration of theoretical training is then 13.5 hours (ATR).
The duration of the practical training depends on the previous experience of each applicant. Pilots who have no experience with turboshaft helicopters complete a flight curriculum comprising of at least 5 flight hours in dual control (ITR – Initial Type Rating). Candidates for Robinson R66 type rating who already have another turboshaft helicopter registered on their license shall complete a shortened flight curriculum containing of at least 3 flight hours (holder of type rating R22 or R44) or 4 flight hours in dual control (applicant without type rating R22 or R44).
At the end of the training, the applicant shall undergo a skill test with an authorized examiner, on the basis of which the Robinson R66 type rating is entered in the pilot license by the Civil Aviation Authority.
HELITOM s.r.o. provides theoretical and practical type training of the Eurocopter EC120B single-engine turboshaft helicopter. Type training is provided on helicopters with full comprehensive insurance.

The theoretical course of type training of 18.5 teaching hours takes place in the form of professional lectures in the Helitom s.r.o. classrooms. Practical flight training depends on the applicant's previous experience and consists of at least 5 flight hours in dual procedure for applicants without prior experience with turboshaft helicopters (ITR – Initial Type Rating) or a minimum of 3 flight hours in dual control for applicants with previous experience in turboshaft helicopters (ATR – Additional Type Rating).
At the end of the training, the applicant shall undergo a skill test with an authorized examiner, on the basis of which the Eurocopter EC120B type rating is entered on the pilot license by the Civil Aviation Authority.
HELITOM s.r.o. provides theoretical and practical type training of the Bell 427 twin-engine turboshaft helicopter. In the event that the applicant does not possess another type rating of a single-pilot multi-engine helicopter or has not already completed an ATPL(H) course, the theoretical instruction also includes a "Pre-entry course for single-pilot multi-engine helicopters”.

The theoretical course of type training in the range of 25 teaching hours is provided in the form of professional lectures in the HELITOM s.r.o. classrooms and in the form of pre-flight briefings. Practical flight training depends on the applicant's previous experience and consists of at least 8 flight hours in dual procedure for applicants without prior experience with multi-engine helicopters (ITR – Initial Type Rating) or a minimum of 3 flight hours in dual procedure for applicants with previous experience in multi-engine helicopters (ATR – Additional Type Rating).
At the end of the training, the applicant shall undergo a skill test with an authorized examiner, on the basis of which the Bell 427 type rating is entered on the pilot license by the Civil Aviation Authority.
HELITOM s.r.o. provides theoretical and practical type training of the gusta AW109S twin-engine turboshaft helicopter. In the event that the applicant does not possess another type rating of a single-pilot multi-engine helicopter or has not already completed an ATPL(H) course, the theoretical instruction also includes a "Pre-entry course for single-pilot multi-engine helicopters”.

The theoretical course of type training in the range of 33 teaching hours is provided in the form of professional lectures in the HELITOM s.r.o. classrooms and in the form of pre-flight briefings. Practical flight training depends on the applicant's previous experience and consists of at least 8 flight hours in dual procedure for applicants without prior experience with multi-engine helicopters (ITR – Initial Type Rating) or a minimum of 4 flight hours in dual procedure for applicants with previous experience in multi-engine helicopters (ATR – Additional Type Rating), or completion of differential training from AW109E to AW109S is required at least 2 flight hours.
At the end of the training, the applicant shall undergo a skill test with an authorized examiner, on the basis of which the Agusta AW109 type rating is entered on the pilot license by the Civil Aviation Authority.
